2000 bucks doesn't come easy. Atleast not in a country where people are struggling to earn that much in a year.
Why spend that much when you can have something better for nothing?
#2. Windows is clumsy
If you haven't found out already, let me tell you this. Windows is clumsy. Downright clumsy. Try doing something and it will take tons of time. It'll freeze. It'll report viruses. Tons of problems.
#3. Who is in control?
Million dollor question. Who is in control of your PC? You or Bill Gates?
Can you do what you want in your PC. Can you get your updates whenever you want? Can you get the simplest jobs done hassle free?
#4. Secure?
Windows isn't secure. It cannot be secure. Simple logic. Being the most popular operating system, all viruses are made for Windows. All Trojan Horses are made for Windows.
Viruses and Windows. Made for each other.
Everything is made for Windows. Can it be secure?
#5. Windows is dumb
Yup. It is dumb. It is copied. Microsoft is business. Business by hook or by crook. Try something new and you'll know the difference.

5 advantages of using windows
#1) Highly user-friendly- In a world where evrything is like fast food,people don't have enough patience and get frustrated by the complexity of Linux/Unix.
#2) Windows is heaven for gamers and multimedia freak.
#3) Various applications don't have their Linux/Unix version.
#4) For those who don't have free access to internet, you cannot expect them to download every plugin,package,etc.
#5) I leave it upto the author to complete this point :P
Anyways, I use both linux and windows on a dual boot system and; am sure about the fact that author too has windows installed on his system

Switch to Linux/Ubuntu/Whatever(Mac!)
This post is primarily for those who have never tried anything other than Windows. (And that is why they feel Windows is very user friendly!).
It is an action call to such users to go out and try out something other than Roshogolla & Mach Jhol because that is the most popular dish in Bengal.

Linux is the future.Windows with it's monopoly will feel the heat when Google comes up with it's Linux distro.
@Kanha: Can't say if Linux is the future. We might be up with an even better operating system in the future. :D
But it is my solemn request to all those who use Windows - and think that they can't live without Windows - Try something different. Who knows - you may like it?!
