Ambigram: Azad

This ambigram completes the set of ambigrams for the PAN loop.

For those not in the know, the PAN loop is a group of hostels in IITKgp - both infamous and famous. P stands for Patel Hall of Residence. A for Azad Hall of Residence and N for Nehru Hall of Residence.

How is it? Have any modifications to suggest? Do let me know.

P.S: I got bored with the regular ambigram. So I inverted the colours - nothing special. Just an attempt to do away with boredom.

Ambigram: Jazzonomics

It has been a while since my last post (A week?!). I have been shifting my hostel room in the last few days. Now, I am a proud Nehruite! :D

And if you haven't had a look at the ambigram of Nehru that I designed, you can check it out here. That reminds me: I haven't posted an ambigram for a long time!

So here is an ambigram that I made - of Jazzonomics - in Roman script. Yeah! I have been trying to design ambigrams in other scripts - without much success though :(

If you observe - ONO is a natural ambigram. That made my task easier! :D

The rest though was tough - I had to wrestle a lot with the letters.

Nevertheless, I am posting the ambigram - since a considerable amount of effort went into it.

Ambigram: Patel

Patel is the first hall that makes the (in)famous PAN loop in IITKgp.

P stands for Patel. A for Azad and N for Nehru. The ambigram for Nehru that I made is here.

The base font is - Agency FB. It has been modified to get the ambigram.

Ambigram: Nehru

Nehru is the name of the new Hall of Residence which I have been allotted in IITKgp.

It turned out to be an almost natural ambigram - a few tweaks here and there, and voila! the ambigram is ready!

I resorted to a little bit of cheating (not in the conventional sense though!).

All the letters are in Comic Sans. I did not try making the alphabet myself. Just modified the existing ones.

My Alma Mater: DPS RK Puram

This is a rotational ambigram I created in MS Paint. The prototype was made on paper - but the final image was created on Paint. 

As a result, I had to create only half of the ambigram. The other half was just copy, rotate & paste. The colour is the same we had on our school uniform.

Ambigram: Old Monk

This is my second ambigram of my name 'Mainak'. Couldn't get it as well as I wished to have it.

The 'k' could have been better. Plus the ambigram is not very symmetric. I'll try to improve upon my mistakes later.

Ambigram: Mainak

This is my first attempt at an ambigram. This was the product of an otherwise unproductive Maths class - yes the same one which I had bunked.

And if you are wondering what I have written - that is my first name - Mainak. I actually did not imagine that I would be able to produce an ambigram out of my name. However, this try has left me thirsty for more. I am presently working on producing an ambigram out of my name in a font which I call Old Monk.

More of Old Monk and others in a later post though.
